What products can be squeezed by the Cooksense HD?
The Cooksense is ideal for pressing soft vegetables and fruits. For firm/fibrous vegetables and fruits this machine is not suitable nor for wheatgrass. These products can be cut into very small pieces, to avoid jamming/blockage.
What is the quality of the juice you get from the Cooksense HD?
With the Cooksense you get good quality juice for a slowjuicer in this price range. Compared to newer devices the Cooksense produces less juice and the pulp is wetter. As with other vertical slowjuicers while juicing more firm and fibrous products, mainly pulp comes in the juice. The machine is less suitable for wheatgrass, the yield when juicing wheatgrass is too low because wheatgrass is tough and the Cooksense will jam.
How to clean the Cooksense HD?
In the edges of the juicing drum, under the screw and also in the ridges of the feeding chute a lot of pulp remains. However, if you clean the Cooksense HD immediately after use it will not be a problem to get it clean. The parts of the Cooksense HD are not dishwasher safe. The best way to clean the juicer is in the sink with warm water using the included brush. Should some vegetables or fruits be difficult to remove, it’s best to put the dirty parts in a bowl of warm water for a few hours.
