If you find this juicer interesting, we recommend taking a look at the improved model of this series: Omega J8228C or J8227S
What products can be pressed by the Omega?
Because of the thin but long screw the Omega Juicer can juice all vegetables and fruits. Firm products like carrots and beets can be juiced in this machine. The Omega is also suitable for juicing fibrous vegetables (like celery and spinach) and for wheatgrass. For nuts, seeds and small amounts of herbs the Omega is a fine machine. Make sure the products are not firmer than coffee beans or black pepper.
What is the quality of the juice you get from the Omega Slow Juicer?
Similar to the Hurom GD the Omega Slow Juicer squeezes pure juice with little pulp. The juice is also a little more fluid and with very little pulp, compared to the vertical slowjuicers. This is mostly clearly seen while juicing fibrous leafy vegetables and wheatgrass.
How to clean the Omega?
The parts of the Omega Juicer are not dishwasher safe. The best way to clean the juicer is in the sink with warm water using the included brushes. Should some vegetables or fruits be difficult to remove, it’s best to put the dirty parts in a bowl of warm water for a few hours.
Why would you choose the Omega Juicer?
- All-round: ice cream, nut butters, pesto or sorbet ice cream, this slowjuicer can prepare it all.
- Wheatgrass: this horizontal Omega Slowjuicer can easily prepare wheatgrass and other fibrous or firm products, a significant difference with vertical slowjuicers.
- Powerful: the pressure is higher because of the thin but long screw made of high-quality Ultem plastic, so more juice and dryer pulp will come out of the machine compared to vertical slowjuicers.
